I feel we are owed a refund of no less than 700 dollars because of initial misdiagnosis by the first set of mechanical technitions! Glad Ross got it right through simple diagnosis and got our furnace replaced instead of repaired!

I spent 1,400 dollars to repair a system which was from the start undesirable. Then I had to pay 2,700 dollars for a new furnace which should have cost me 3,500 instead of the 4,100 which I paid. The last group of guys got it right and fixed our furnace yet the 1st group who failed to properly diagnose the cracks in the valves did a poor job and put our lives at risk by not properly diagnosing the cracked valves upon inspection!

He did a good job, but the price far exceeded the work done. Same with the last electrical work I had done. $350 to put in a light switch? Really? $500 to change out a filter in the furnace (not even that - just replace the plastic filter-holding thing)? If I had known what to do, I could've done it myself - wasn't really specialist work. But I am grateful both the gentlemen, who were very knowledgeable in their work, were able to come out so quickly on such short notice.

Was having furnace trouble so I decided to call Axberg to come out and inspect it, not realizing Axberg was bought out by Black Diamond a while back. Technician arrived and agreed with me that I had a bad inducer motor. He then proceeded to do a full inspection and told me my heat exchanger had a crack in it and he was legally not allowed to work on it. Next he started rambling off numbers as a form of "quote" to get me to purchase way overpriced parts or to buy a whole new system from them and then left. Wasn't too pleased with the way the technician tried to pressure and smooth talk me into buying a new system and parts from them. All in all I bought the part I needed online for about $100 and the furnace is working great again. Congrats Axberg/Black Diamond you got the $80 service fee from me but it will be the last time I use or recommend anyone to your company.

Ryan, we’re sorry that you are disappointed with your experience with us, but we stand by our technician’s diagnosis of your cracked heat exchanger, and the serious safety implications of repairing a furnace in that state. While you may have been able to order a part and make the repair, the crack we showed you in the heat exchanger is still there, potentially releasing carbon monoxide into your home at any time. Just because the unit is running doesn’t mean it’s no longer a safety hazard. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Rosario's service and great thinking out of the box has been a game changer for the functioning of my new furnace to which I am still not at ease with. Time will tell about the reliability of this product. Kudo's to Rosario though who's value Black Diamond should be grateful for.
